Today Kris Summers (previously Chris Somerville!) who plays our superhero Jason Mackenzie, Eileen Young who originally guest-starred as the mysterious Sakura, who Jason found had taken over as his mentor as Ames (Alan Maclean) has went missing, and myself were invited on to Movie Cafe, Radio Scotland's movie and arts radio programme. There we talked about the first series of our superhero show being released on DVD (buy the two disc set at
http://www.nightisday.com/buy-dvd.htm) our plans for series 2.
I've now wrote all the way up to episode 5 of series 2, which is an episode called "History" and we get to find out more about the evil Mr. Philips and the mysterious Caitlyn who has been following Jason for sometime.
On Saturday the 15th and 22nd of March we are auditioning 60 actors who will make up the cast for series 2 of our exciting series. Once our new cast has been formed we will be taking publicity shots for the website and for the press.
Plans aren't set in stone yet but as each episode of series 2 is going to be 25 minutes long we won't be broadcasting on the web anymore but you will be able to buy the DVD of series 2.
So instead of releasing series 2 online we will be making little webisodes, 5-10 stories about Jason, Sakura, Caitlyn, Mullan, Frank, Mr. Philips and some of the new characters joining us this series. We will release the episodes monthly for you to watch and they will comprise of flashbacks and prequels to the second series.
We hope to start writing these soon and filming them. Mark Harvey who plays Stevie and his twin brother Frank, who both work for Mr. Philips is currently writing "Frank" and we hope to film it soon. Mark will also be directing the film while I produce it.
It's all go go go for Night is Day at the moment and we hope it continues!
Transaudio, the fantastic Glasgow band who write and perform the theme tune to the series will also have new songs throughout the series and Kym Huyhn will also be contributing songs to the series while master composer Steve Dunster will return to add his touch to the series.

I watched the first episode a while back, I enjoyed it. It's actually refreshing to see a show created on a tight budget, and I think it makes it seem more real. Plus the Scottish accents make me melt.
